Spy Games Chapter 29 Teaser

Hi Everyone. I hope you enjoyed Chapter 28, which is now posted on FF.net and Twilighted.com. Here's the teaser for Chapter 29, entitled "Die, Go To Jail, or Run." The song for this chapter is "Heavy in your Arms" by Florence & The Machine.

Spy Games Chapter 29 Teaser:

"At midnight on the dot, I was walking into the same little diner Edward had taken me to the night we’d met at the Red Room. This was the spot where we’d made our arrangement. How long ago that seemed, so very far away, almost out of reach.

Sitting in the corner far in the back, drinking a cup of coffee and reading a paper, was The Snake. He was wearing his typical page boy hat, turned backwards, and journalist vest with all the pockets. I walked over and scooted in across the booth from him.

“Ms. Swan, how are you tonight?” he greeted, folding his paper and placing it down between us.

“Fabulous, yourself?”

“Hoping it gets better. When we talked on the phone, you said you had something for me?”

I nodded. “I do. And I think it’s gonna be something you’ll be very interested in. But I’ll only give it to you if the price is right.”

“If the price is right?” His eyebrows raised incredulously. “So this incognito meeting is not about the money you and your -- boyfriend -- owe me?”

I sighed and shook my head, not seeming to understand. Apparently, Edward hadn’t made good on his promise of twenty thousand dollars, since the twist Eleazar put on the story definitely worked. Everywhere I looked, everywhere I turned, everyone was talking about how perfect we were for each other and how they’d known all along that it was him I was screwing.

“The last time we saw each other,” Eleazar continued, “you two were blackmailing me into spinning my story into something you preferred. Now, my daughter’s in rehab and twenty other reporters beat me to the punch on your birthday party. The story was dog-shit by then, so you’ll just have to be satisfied with what I was able to do.”

“It was perfect, thank you,” I tried to sneak in.

But Eleazar was on a roll, and he barely heard me. “And now you want my help? How 'bout I tell you to fuck off and I leave before you drag me into something else equally as unrewarding."

“I didn't say I needed your help, Mr. Michael. I believe you need mine."

He started laughing hysterically, throwing his hands down on the table. "That’s great. Just what would I possibly want from you?"

I pulled a manilla folder out of my purse and laid it on the table between us. “A love story. A real one."

Well, that's all I got. Thanks for reading, and take care.

Spy Games News and Teaser

Hi Everyone. So, I've got great news! I am pleased to announce that Spy Games is officially completed. There are a total of two more chapters and an epilogue. I've received good notes from my betas so far, so I hope you guys enjoy what I have in store.

Chapter 28 will be posted on Monday, August 8th. Chapter 29 and the Epilogue will be posted the following Monday. Chapter 28 is titled, "Secret Missions, Guns and a Heart to Heart," and the song for this chapter is "Little Lion Man," by Mumford & Sons. Chapter 29 is entitled "Heavy in your Arms," and is based off the song by Florence & The Machine of the same title. The epilogue will be simply titled "Epilogue" and the song for it is "In My Veins," by Andrew Belle.

Without further ado, the teaser you've waited six months for.

"As the doors parted on floor fifteen, I grabbed my two rolling duffles and took a few steps into the hall, glaring down the corridor with resolve. I felt like I finally figured out what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, and it didn't involve anything I thought I'd want two weeks ago. I left this loft terrified of losing everything I'd ever worked for, only to be forced to confront those fears in the most public way imaginable. And now I was coming back with a fury, like a phoenix rising from it's own ashes and hellbent on getting it's revenge. I'd overcome everything anyone had thrown at me. I'd managed to make my way out of things somewhat unscathed, if you don't count the tussle with Scotty-pants.

I passed the door for the father of two at the end of the hall and rounded the corner.
Where I promptly stopped dead in my tracks.

Somebody was slumped outside of my door. Slumped and leaning against the wall like it was the only thing holding it up.

"Hey," I heard myself say. A lump rose in my throat. "Hey - can I help you?"
I took a few unsteady steps forward, deciding to leave my bags where they were in case I needed to defend myself.

The figure stirred a little and groaned, pulling it's legs closer to it's torso as it tried to stand. It was then that I recognized the hair - a beautiful shade of bronze."

Here is the pic tease:

And the Song:

Well, thanks for sticking with me this long, and I do hope you enjoy the grand finale. Shouldn't be too much longer now. Take care. Cheers!

New Banners and Spy Games News

Update: I am steadily working on Spy Games and should have it completed before the end of the month. I don't want to make you guys wait any longer than necessary, so I want to get it done and uploaded all at the same time.

In the meantime, here's a banner for my new short story called "Run." I've taken my one shot, "Use Somebody," and expanded on it a little and changed up the world they live in. Anyway, I'm working on that as well and should have the first couple of chapters up soon.

Photobucket

In other news, check out the new banner for La Vita Nuova as well. The beautiful Manip was created by Maimu, who did an awesome job, I think. Expect new chapters for that soon. The Chapter nine teaser can be found at: http://www.lavitanuovaff.blogspot.com. Check it out.

Spy Games News and Other Things

Hey Everyone! First things first, IT's MY BIRTHDAY! WOO HOO!! Another year older and all that.

Okay, now that I got that out of the way. I apologize that I've been on a bit of a hiatus. Some crazy things going on in my life. I quit smoking -- which was a HUGE accomplishment for me because I smoked like a pack a day. Consequently, I gained thirty pounds -- which I hear is not that bad, but it is for me. As someone who used to run five miles a day before I started smoking, being any amount of overweight is just bullshit. So I've been trying to get back into running and working out, which is taking up a lot of my time.

But, enough of my personal woes, a few Spy Games updates.

I HAVE BEEN NOMINATED FOR A WALK OF FAME AWARD!!!

Woot! Woot! Woot!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Voting is open until January 31 and I'm in the "Mistress of Mystery" category. I'm up against some heavy hitters, so we'll see how it goes. Just to have been nominated is amazing though. Thank you to all of my passionate readers out there. It means a lot to have such great support.

So, if you don't mind, please take a few seconds out of your day to go vote for me.

http://twinklingswfa.blogspot.com/p/voting.html

Please, pretty pretty please.

Photobucket

There are a lot of other great stories nominated, so make sure all of your favorites get the support they deserve.

I was also nominated in the Twilight People Awards for a "Hollaback Award." I didn't win, but hey -- It was, again, an honor to even be mentioned. So, I got this snazzy banner.

Photobucket

Ok, so one more thing and then, I PROMISE, a teaser.

I started a separate blog for LVN so that I could have a space to elaborate on that particular fanfic. I've posted a few things over there for your enjoyment. Here's the link if you're interested.

http://lavitanuovaff.blogspot.com/

Be sure to check out the banner and the playlist. I worked my buns off on it.

So, today being my birthday and all, I decided I'd pay it forward and give you guys a gift. The next Spy Games chapter is off to the betas, (it's a long one, I promise) and should be posted soon.

But, here's a little taste before the reviewers get theirs in their inbox:

Chapter 27 Teaser:
Happy Birthday the Vegas Way

"Okay," Jessica started before laughing. "I can assure you that Ms. Swan is nothing if not professional, as am I. Moreover, we are at a technology convention people, to talk about advancements we've made in security measures, more specifically advancements made in the facial distinction specialty. Should you desire to ask about our new software, I'd be more than inclined to elaborate. As for Mr. Cullen, Mr. Dean and Ms. Swan, or any personal interactions therein, I'm not going to waste my breath."

"So, is that a yes or a no?" the smart ass blonde urged.

"That's a "I'm-pretty-sure-you'll-make-up-your-own-story-so-why-bother?" Next?"

I smiled and nodded eagerly. "That's my girl," I whispered, taking a few steps back. Alice smiled and laughed in agreement.

That was when it hit me. The jolt at the base of my spine shot up my body and cascaded down my arms to my fingertips. I shuddered at the familiar feeling. He was here, somewhere, looking at me. I could feel it. Every hair I had stood on end. I looked around quickly, my eyes straining to take in each face and figure.

Where? Where are you?

I walked closer to the coffee display, only to find nothing there. Then, I walked to the other side of the stage. No one. I found myself in a dark corner backstage, alone and surrounded by black curtains. I was pretty sure I wasn't supposed to be on this side of things, so I started to head back.

"I heard a rumor about you," a voice whispered into my ear from behind, stopping me dead in my tracks.

The two Musical selections for this chapter are "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon and "A Drop In The Ocean," by Ron Pope. Download them, enjoy them, love them. I do.

And here's a picture that the very fuck-awesome Maimu made for Spy Games. I was thinking of transforming it into a banner for the next chapter. What do you think?

Photobucket

Well, that's all I got. I hope things are going good for everyone and stay tuned for the next update. Toodles.

New Chapter of LVN and Spy Games News

Hello Friends!

First, I want to thank you for your patience. I've run into some serious RL stressors and I'm still trying to pull myself out from under them. It's taken some time to get back into the swing of things, but I'm glad to say that I've started writing again. So it shouldn't be long until the next chapter of Spy Games is posted. I'm determined to finish it and give you guys the ending I've been thinking of since day one.

In other news, Spy Games was nominated for a "Hidden Star Award." The winners haven't been posted yet, but thank you to everyone who voted and participated in this contest. I didn't even know I was nominated until after the voting was over -- but it feels great just to be recognized.

Also, Spy Games was nominated for HopelessHopeX's contest. You can vote on that right here:

http://www.kwiksurveys.com/online-survey.php?surveyID=HKKKIL_13e10410&UID=1977910858

And finally, I'm planning on posting a chapter of LVN today. It was written before this little hiatus and I've just been able to get it betaed. So, if you're reading that, check your inbox in about an hour or so to find the next installment. I hope all is well with everyone and -- again -- thank you for sticking with me through this crazy time in my life. Cheers!

Spy Games Chapter 25 Teaser

I hope you enjoy it. Also, I posted a new chapter of La Vita Nuova. Let me know what you think.

"I shot him the best wink I could, considering the left half of my face was in serious pain, and took his arm. As we walked down the hallway to the elevators, I decided to test my luck and ask again. "Where are you taking me?" I mused.

"You'll see," he whispered.

"I just don't understand. Why the suspense? Are we meeting someone?"

"Possibly," he confessed with a laugh.

"Possibly?" I retorted. "Alright, I've got a different question."

"Of course you do," he teased.

I ignored that comment completely. "What was going on with you in the airplane?"

"I'm sorry about that. I was - angry."

"Angry? With whom?"

"Scott, mostly," Edward answered as the elevator doors opened. After we'd walked in, he added, "And my father," before pressing the button for the basement. "This is going to sound rude, and please don't take it the wrong way. But - do me a favor. For the next hour, try to say as little as possible."

"Excuse me?" Was he really expecting me to play the silent woman behind the gentleman tonight? Was he delusional? That was one role I'd never fill - for anyone.

"I asked you not to take it the wrong way. Listen, we've got dirty laundry to wash - you understand? And it's best if you just - don't implicate yourself," he explained with a half-hearted smile.

What?

That sounded incredibly too ominous for my liking.

I was tempted to say something about it.

But, he told me to shut up, and he meant with the best regards, if that was even possible. So, I tried my damnedest to keep quiet, to keep still, but I had to know what was going on. It was hardly five seconds before I looked back over to him and smiled. "One more?" I whispered.

He shook his head and sighed. "If you must."

"How, exactly, are you supposed to take care of Eleazar?" I muttered.

"You'll see," he murmured.

"I'll see? You keep saying that - I'll see. What the hell am I gonna see?"

"Bella -" he started, grunting like he was suddenly frustrated and uncomfortable with this conversation.

But I insisted none the less. "You said no more secrets. If we're in this together, then we need to be on the same page."

His face tightened and his fingers pressed to the bridge of his nose. "Where do you think we're headed?"

Spy Games News & La Vita Nuova

Hey everyone! Great news. I'm done with the new Spy Games chapter, so it should be up in a few days. Here's a little teaser. Do not be fooled by the title, this is not the last chapter:

Chapter 24 Teaser
"How It Ends"

"I nudged her. She groaned in response and rolled over. I nudged her again.

"Rose?" I whimpered.

Her eyes fluttered open and she sat up, looking around at the room. "What the hell?"

"My thoughts exactly," I teased.

"Oh, shit. I'm sorry Bella."

"What are you doing in here?"

"I came to tell you something last night. But you looked so content, I didn't have the heart to wake you," Rose explained.

"So you just snuck in and curled up next to me?"

On second thought, this shouldn't have been unusual for me. Rose's parents used to fight, often and intensely. Alice and Jake would sleep through the shit, but when Rose woke up and heard the horrible things they would say to each other, she would sneak the few blocks over to my house, climb in my window and curl up next to me. Sometimes I woke up, sometimes I didn't. She was always gone at dawn. Rose was ashamed of this for some reason, and made me swear never to tell anyone -- including Alice and Jake. For some reason, I never did.

"Jenks' knows," she murmured with a despondent undertone, as if his finding out was a terrible experience for her to have lived through."

And now for something else. I'm working on another story -- something definitely shorter and more concise than "Spy Games." Here's a little snip it from that:

"You're late," Edward stated.

"You know, you really ought to quit that," I chided upon arrival, deciding to completely ignore his comment about my tardiness. "It's gonna kill you."

"We all gotta die someday, at least I can say I chose slow and painful suffering."

"Perpetual self hater," I snorted.

"Know it all," he quipped in response.

I sat down on the swing next to him and sighed. "Is Tanya okay?"

"Don't know, haven't talked to her," he replied, taking another long drag of his cigarette before flicking it into the street.

"What's going on with you two?"

He laughed and rubbed his hand over his brow. "Forgive me Bells, if I don't want to talk about Tanya."

"Okay," I whimpered. "Here's your present. I got you two."

His face scrunched in confusion. "Two? Why two?"

"I thought we'd be exchanging gifts in front of everyone. I couldn't give you what I really wanted to give you in front of them," I explained.

"Did you get Jake two presents?"

I rolled my eyes and laughed. "My father and I split a new head unit for his Volkswagen."

"Ah," he mused and started to tear off the paper, but I stopped him.

"No, open it later," I murmured.

He seemed confused at first, but then nodded and whispered, "Okay," before handing me a medium sized, rectangular box.

"I'm your secret Santa," he whispered. "But if I'm not allowed to open mine, you have to wait to open yours."

I nodded in agreement. "So, why'd you call me out here?"

"I didn't want to give you your present in front of everyone either."

"Really?" I teased. "Is it scandalous?"

"Of course," he replied with a wink.

I laughed and nudged him in the rib cage. "Alright Midnight Caller, if you want to talk about anything, you know where to find me." I started to rise but Edward grabbed my hand to stop me. Our skin connected again with that same, harmonious buzz. It ran right through me, up my arm and over my chest. It turned me on in a way that made me tremble and fall weak at the knees. Surprised, I jerked and pulled away from him.

"You feel it too," Edward exclaimed, adjusting his body to face mine.

"Yeah I feel it, what is it?"

"I have no idea," he muttered. "But I want to feel it --" He ran his finger down the side of my cheek, trailing the charge across my skin with his thumb. "-- everywhere."

He leaned in to kiss me. I could see his face getting closer, and, God, how I longed to feel those lips on mine again. My gaze immediately went to Jake's house across the street. None of the lights were on, Jake was definitely in bed. I'd get away with it if I wanted to.

But did I really want to?

Hell, both Tanya and Jake could be watching right now, and I'd have no fucking idea. So, reluctantly, I pulled away from him and stood -- a feat that took damn near everything out of me. I'd wanted to kiss him. I'd wanted to feel that electric charge all over my skin, but I just couldn't. I was with Jake. He was with Tanya. If we wanted to be together, we had to break up with our significant others first, something I wasn't sure I really wanted to do. Jake had always been very good to me. He didn't deserve this.

"I should be getting back," I mumbled. "Uh -- Thank you for the gift. I hope you like yours."

I didn't wait for a reply. I turned around and marched right back to my house.

Once inside, I collapsed against the front door and took a deep breath.

"What the fuck is wrong with me?" I thought.

I was losing my damned mind.

On the way upstairs, I peeled the wrappings from the box Edward had given me. "Create-a-mate Casting Kit," it said. I was confused until I looked down and noticed exactly what it was.

I immediately started laughing hysterically.

Edward had made me a dildo replica of his dick."

It's called La Vita Nuova -- Here's the banner for it. I'll probably post some of it within the next week or so.

La Vita Nuova

So that's what I've been up to -- but I haven't abandoned Spy Games, so no worries. Thanks for reading. :-)

EPOV Tease and Other Things

Hello blog followers! I just wanted to drop by to let you know that I haven't completely disappeared off the face of the Earth, I've just been working on the much anticipated EPOV -- and I'm going to promise you just a little taste of that action after a few notes.

First of all, if you're not reading the Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris, HOP ON IT! The new book just came out on Monday, (of course I'm already done), and I LOVED IT!!! Lots of Eric, Lots of sexing, Not so much blood and drama as the last book. It was brilliant. I highly recommend it!

In other news, don't forget about the "Spy Games" read along on May 16th. Be sure to log into your twitter account at 9pm EST on May 16th and search #Readalong to join in with the fun. I can't promise how much I'll be on b/c of prior commitments, but I'm definitely going to try to pop in and give my two cents for each chapter -- possibly some things I was going to work into the story but got cut for whatever reason -- other things of that nature.

And finally, I bring you back to Smut Monday on May 10th. If you have a twilighted account, be sure to hop on there and leave me some love this Monday. Some of you guys have already read the latest EPOV, and I assure you, it's definitely not something you'll want to miss.

Anyway, here's the tease. LMK what you think:

A Rock and a Hard Place:

"You don't find it terribly unfair that you know so much about me, and I know practically nothing of you? What if the tables were reversed?" Bella teased, allowing me to casually pull the zipper down on the back of her black evening gown. It fell to the floor, leaving her clad in nothing but her matching thong undies. I ghosted my lips up the side of her neck and pressed them to her ear. Her hair smelled like green apples and strawberries.

"Yet I learned everything I know from my own research, my own observations. You prefer to go directly to the source. Seems like cheating to me." I was only teasing her, of course. But, my oh my, how much fun that was. "Besides -- I wouldn't say you know nothing of me," I hissed and she broke out into goosebumps -- absolutely one of my favorite reactions.

She shivered when my fingers twisted around the thin straps holding her underwear together, making my cock twitch from the sight of it. I kneeled and trailed my hands down the back of her legs, dragging her panties with them.

God, she smelled good -- like lavender and honeysuckle and the faintest trace of vodka and cranberry. She must have been drinking earlier tonight.

Just as I was about to slide my tongue along the side of her waist and get my first taste of that delicious skin, Bella's cellphone started buzzing from the kitchen counter.

Chapter 23 Teaser!

Woot! Well, it's finally done ladies and gents. This chappie of Spy Games is out of my system. Here's your teaser. Also, if you haven't voted in the poll yet, please do so now. I'm closing it down after I post this chappie.

Anyway, let me know what you think.

Chapter 23 Teaser

A Picture Worth A Thousand Lies

The snake stepped forward and smiled deviously, looking back and forth between Edward and I before starting. "Ms. Swan, you were recently photographed heading to an undisclosed location in the Boston Marriott Hotel with Mr. William Dean, were you not?"

"Oh come on, Eleazar. Did you not get your fill of harassment the last time you brought this up? I'll not answer any questions about Mr. Dean and myself."

"And why is that?"

"Because I do not get paid to discuss my personal life with the likes of you."

"It's not because your hiding your affair from the public?"

"There is no such affair to speak of -- that is why I won't talk about it. There's simply nothing to mention."

He nodded and hummed a quiet noise of disapproval. "And what of you and Mr. Cullen?"

Spy Games Teaser & EPOV Poll

Recently, I won a Fanny over at FFFW and I decided right around the same time that I would sign up to do an outtake for Smut Mondays over at Twilighted.net. A lot of my readers have been asking if I will ever do an EPOV, and while I do intend to write "The Spy" just as soon as I'm done writing "Spy Games," I will definitely take a break in between. So I don't know how long it will be until I get that started. Trust me, ladies, I need it. That being said, I've decided I'll treat you all to an EPOV outtake from "Spy Games" for the Smut Monday spot. The best part? You get to pick which one you wanna see.

********I'm leaving the poll open so that everyone can still look at it. But considered it closed. Angry Lemon wins!************

TEASER TIME!!!

Jay And Silent Bob

Here it is:

Chapter 22
The Prince, The King & The Witch

My brain wanted to be so mad at him, to curse him up and down this hallway, but my heart screamed out to him, begging him to put the pieces back together and make us alright again. "Mr. Cullen," I solemnly replied.

The tension between us was stifling and I started to dread getting into that elevator. If I was on the verge of a freak out just standing here, I couldn't imagine what being in a confined space with him would be like. The doors opened and we both paused, neither of us wanting to make that first move.

Might as well get this over with.

I took a deep breath and walked into the tiny metal box decorated with maroon wallpaper and dark gray carpeting. I pressed the button for the lobby just as Edward walked in behind me and took his spot at the other side.

"Where are you going, Mr. Cullen?"

"Me?" he asked, seeming taken off guard. "Oh, I'm -- I'm going down," he sputtered. "-- to the lobby."

I shot him an awkward look as the doors closed in front of us. What was that all about? Was he -- was he actually nervous? To be around me?

"I guess I am too," I whispered under my breath.

Then all fell silent and the seconds slowly ticked by, feeling more like hours than small fractions of time. I could literally feel the static energy as it intensified with each tick of the clock, that undeniable attraction tripling in strength -- and it cascaded off us both. We were naturally pulled to each other with such a tremendous force that standing this close to him but not touching him literally drained me. I was fighting this insatiable urge to fling myself across this elevator, wrap my fingers in his hair and beg him to fuck me on the spot. Every bone in my body screamed for it -- or maybe that was just my loins.

Regardless, my head was tromping my heart in everything to do with this matter. He owed me an explanation, an apology, hell, anything!

Tell me SOMETHING, Cullen!

But he owed me, and I couldn't be the first to give in.

Just when it seemed I would literally burst from the pressure between us, he pushed the emergency stop button and cleared his throat, the elevator coming to a complete halt before either of us said anything else.

Apparently, the US Weekly article had sparked a frenzy, and everyone -- EVERYONE -- was vying for that next, new picture of Mr. Dean and myself. Though I denied the allegations repeatedly, the media assumed we were handling our affair the way rich people normally did -- with secrecy at first, the thrill still too new to share with the world, and then with glamor, the overwhelming pressure of prying eyes becoming too much to keep a it a secret any longer. The press was jumping at the chance to be that first publication to break the news, that first mouse with the biggest cheese.

It was a shame they'd never find anything to break.

They had the wrong guy.

Jenks, Scotty, Alice and I pushed our way through the crowd as the photographers spat absurd questions at me, shouting at the top of their lungs to be heard.

"Where's William tonight?"
"Will you be seeing him later?"
"How long have you two been seeing each other?"
"When's the wedding?"
"Will the two companies merge?"

All of which I shrugged off. I'd answer no questions whatsoever.

FLASH!
FLASH!
FLASH!

Each blinding surge of light pointed right at me made it incredibly difficult to walk, and even harder to concentrate. Who was asking what? Who do I answer? It all seemed to blend together. That was until I heard a deep grumble emanate from the back of the crowd.

"We've got the wrong guy, don't we Ms. Swan? Her sights are a little further from home," the voice said.

I almost stopped dead in my tracks, and would have had Alice not grabbed on to the back of my arm and pushed me ahead with her. I wasn't entirely sure if she heard it as well, but it didn't seem to matter. No one in the crowd cared, or at least, no one was willing to continue questioning his change in direction. Once inside security at the Hilton, I was able to make out the face way at the back, the one that most likely knew my secret.

And I immediately recognized him.

Eleazar Michael -- the most notable paparazzi in the game these days. He goes where the story goes. He follows his prey, stalks it until he gets that one shaming shot.

Britney Spear's crotch? That was Eleazar.

Paris Hilton's sex tape? That was Eleazar.

And he was good at what he did because he was relentless.

The Time Traveler's Wife & other things

Confession time: I haven't been working on Spy Games. The reason behind this insanity?

Time Traveler's Wife

This book consumed me for so many heart-wrenching and thought provoking reasons. First, for those of you who didn't see the movie, let me explain what the story is about. We have one of the protagonists, Henry, who is a "Chrono-displaced person." Meaning that he time travels. Literally. One second, he standing in front of you, the next second, he's completely gone - leaving just his clothes in a pile on the floor.

Then we have Clare, who is Henry's future wife. The thing of Henry's time travel is that he is pulled to big events in his life. For example, his mother died when he was six in a horrific car accident. He's been back to this time in his life hundreds of times. He says that if you were to look around the scene very, very closely -- he is everywhere. He's hiding in the trees, looking from the overpass -- he even places a blanket over the shoulders of his six year old self.

In Henry's middle aged years, he finds himself pulled to a Meadow behind this ginormous house. Come to find out, this is the Childhood home of Clare, his wife. Essentially, in the first few chapters, we learn that Clare has known Henry since she was six, and has had this whole life with him. When Clare and Henry first "meet," Clare is twenty, Henry is twenty eight. So because he doesn't flash back to her childhood until he is around 33, he is completely unaware of any of the experiences he has already had with her.

If that makes sense.

Another reason why I adore this story is that Henry and Clare are completely lovable together. The author does an excellent job of creating these characters who are completely three dimensional and really pop off the page. Henry is hysterical -- and totally in love with Clare. And Clare has a very pronounced and elegant character arc. We see her as a child and a believable adolescent, both through Henry's eyes and Clare's own thoughts. These experiences turn her into an amazingly strong woman, stronger than I could be I think.

Read it! The author does a great job of showing how Henry's and Clare's relationship progresses and puts an interesting twist on the "old-fashioned" love story. It comes highly recommended by yours truly.

In other news,

LMAO!!!

Failblog owns my life.

The Lost premiere was AWESOME!!! I don't know if anyone else was excited about it, but I was -- and they definitely did not disappoint. I love the idea of the flash-sideways. It's interesting to think that these people would still have crossed paths, even if the plane had landed.

To be completely honest though, I'm a little pissed off that I watched five years of plot line and story arcs, only to be forced to forget all of that in the last season when the producers decide that setting off a nuclear bomb puts a reset on everything and changes it completely.

The part in the Temple -- completely did not see that coming. I thought Sayid was a goner for sure. But you know what I think? I think that Jacob found a way to embody Sayid or something.. I dunno.. we'll see what happens in the next episode.

Sayid was always my favorite. I saw that episode where he broke someone's neck with his feet, and I was in love..

Wait, wait..

DUDE KILLED ANOTHER DUDE . . . WITH HIS FEET!!

Shit's just crazy. If I was on that island, I would have had the same idea as Shannon. Sayid's the mother fucker I'm bunking with.

And on a personal note, there's two feet of snow on the ground right now. I'm gonna get some hot chocolate, write a little bit, and then watch some tv. Any good shows you recommend?
